Lodge Chef Collection 19.5×10 in Cast Iron Reversible Grill & Griddle
Product description
Double-burner design: This piece is sized to rest over two stovetop burners, providing a roomy 127.04 square inches of cooking surface across a 19.5 by 10 inch footprint. Its span lets you cook several items at once or manage zones for different doneness levels.
Reversible functionality: One side is a smooth griddle ideal for pancakes, eggs, and crepes. Flip it to reveal a ridged grill surface that produces sear marks and channels fat away from food—useful for steaks, chicken breasts, and vegetables.
Cast iron construction and seasoning: Forged from cast iron for durable, long-lasting performance, the piece is factory-seasoned with 100% natural vegetable oil to create an initial nonstick layer and enhance heat retention and distribution.
Versatile use: The griddle works on gas or electric stovetops, in the oven, on an outdoor gas grill, or even over an open fire. Because of its robust build, it can serve as a flat top on many heat sources and is handy for both indoor breakfasts and outdoor cookouts.
Made in the USA: Manufactured in the United States, this cookware combines traditional cast-iron benefits with the convenience of a reversible surface, making it a flexible addition to many kitchens.

VerdictThis heavy-duty, reversible cast-iron griddle is a versatile workhorse for the kitchen and outdoors. The broad 127.04 sq in surface spans two burners and gives you a flat side for breakfast favorites and a ridged side for grill marks and searing. It arrives pre-seasoned with vegetable oil for an initial nonstick layer and offers excellent heat retention and even cooking. Expect to care for it like

Not ideal for induction cooktops
Doesn't sit securely on my induction hob. On a gas range or outdoor grill it looks and feels solid, but it wasn’t suitable for my induction setup.

Excellent for meats, less so for fish
Does a great job with steaks, pork chops, and chicken, but delicate fish tends to flake. Cleaning can be tedious—sometimes I use oven cleaner for stuck-on bits. It’s heavy; take care on glass tops and consider a protective layer to minimize grease and scratching.

Lodge delivers
Solid griddle: one side handles steaks and burgers, the other is great for everything else. It comes pre-seasoned and worked well from the first use.

Bring Korean BBQ home
Perfect size for a portable butane burner—roomy yet compact. You can move partially cooked pieces aside while grilling fresh cuts in the center. Cast iron holds heat very well; I find it cooks better than many casual Korean BBQ spots.

Great for both grill and stove
We use it on our Weber gas grill and on the indoor stove. On a glass-top you must be careful when moving it, but performance is impressive and it’s a cost-effective upgrade.

I use this daily
I cook nearly everything on it and love the results. Treat it like cast iron: if it starts to rust, scrub with steel wool, rub with oil, and bake to restore seasoning (about 15 minutes at 400°F). It gives the most even cooking of any pan I own.

Fantastic sear and manageable cleanup
If you want clean grill marks on chicken, beef, or pork, this delivers. Cleanup is straightforward though the drip area is a bit small. A chopstick helps dislodge bits between the ridges, and a wire brush cleans the grooves well. Cast iron quality is excellent. Use a good hood and crack a window when grilling indoors for proper ventilation.
