All-Clad HA1 12" Hard-Anodized Nonstick Fry Pan with Glass Lid
Product description
This 12-inch All-Clad HA1 hard-anodized fry pan is sized for family meals and larger batches — perfect for searing steaks, frying eggs, sautéing vegetables and handling delicate proteins like fish. The pan’s flat cooking surface and gently flared sides make tossing and turning with a spatula easy and efficient.
The cooking surface uses a long-lasting PTFE nonstick layer engineered for easy release and straightforward cleanup. The exterior is hard-anodized aluminum, treated to resist scratches and wear while providing a solid, rigid shell.
Beneath the aluminum body sits an optimized stainless-steel base that improves durability, reduces the chance of warping, and helps distribute heat consistently across the surface so there are fewer hot spots during cooking.
Design touches include a contoured profile, double-riveted stainless-steel handle for a secure attachment, and a tempered glass lid that allows you to monitor food without lifting it. The lid fits for stovetop braising or locking in steam after searing.
The skillet is induction-ready and safe for use on all cooktops. The pan itself can go into ovens up to 500°F; the glass lid is rated to 350°F. It’s dishwasher-safe, though handwashing with mild soap and a soft sponge is recommended to prolong the nonstick finish. Use silicone, nylon, or wooden utensils to avoid abrasion.
Designed in Canonsburg, PA, and manufactured in China, the product is backed by a limited lifetime warranty. Included with purchase are the 12" fry pan and a matching tempered glass lid.

Best nonstick I’ve tried
I’ve tested many coated pans and this one outperforms the rest. It’s solidly made, heats evenly, and nothing has stuck so far—eggs, chicken and fish all came off clean with a nice sear. Very happy with the build and results.

Solid heavy-duty pan
Heavy pan that gives even heat—makes bacon and fried eggs easy. It’s working well so far; rating it four stars pending long-term durability.

Promising start, will re-evaluate
Replaced an old pan I used every morning. So far it performs very well and I’m adjusting to the handle. Concerned about longevity after a year of daily use; I’ll update later if it holds up.

Durable coating when treated right
If you use wooden or silicone utensils and avoid abrasive cleaners, the nonstick finish lasts a long time.

Chef-quality feel
Feels like a pro pan—easy to clean and the nonstick works wonderfully. Great value for a skilled home cook and a real pleasure to use.

Stopped meeting expectations after a few uses
The first use was great, but after cooking a steak some of it stuck and won’t come off with a soft cloth. For the price I expected better long-term nonstick performance.

Great cooking; odd handle
After four months we love how it cooks and the coating still looks new. The handle is sturdy but awkward and uncomfortable—wish they’d redesign it, though I can tolerate it.

Performs well but handle is a flaw
Cooking performance has been excellent over a few months, but the handle is the worst I’ve felt on any pan—very uncomfortable for heavy loads. It’s a shame given the pan’s strengths.

Disappointed by the handle and heft
Haven’t used it much and am thinking of returning it. The handle has an odd deep groove and is uncomfortable, especially on such a heavy pan. It feels more like a deep skillet than a typical frying pan.

Lost its flatness quickly
We bought this hoping for quality but within a month it no longer sat flat and wobbled on the hob despite careful use. The handle shape also makes gripping awkward—often requires two hands.

Dependable everyday workhorse
Used almost daily for eight months with no issues—flat bottom, good heat conduction, and the nonstick still looks new. It’s a bit heavy when tipping, but overall the best nonstick I’ve owned. UPDATE: Nearly two years later only tiny scratches and still performing well. UPDATE: After three years, one misuse at very high heat damaged it, but it lasted longer than many others.
