BGment 34 x 80 Inch Doorway Curtain Panel — Dark Gray Thermal Blackout
Product description
What you get: one 34-inch wide by 80-inch long curtain panel in dark gray. The panel arrives with six silver metal grommets evenly spaced across the top so it slips over rods up to 1.6 inches in diameter.
Materials and build: constructed from a polyester shell with a thermal, light-blocking backing. The fabric is medium-heavy to give a full drape and to offer insulation against drafts while also preventing most incoming light and obscuring sightlines for privacy.
How it’s used: designed to be hung across doorway openings — closets, French doors, laundry rooms or as a quick room divider. It works well on spring/tension rods or standard curtain poles thanks to the grommet top. For best fullness measure your doorway and pick a panel width roughly 1.5–2 times the opening so the fabric pleats attractively when closed.
Care notes: fabric may arrive creased from packaging; gentle ironing or steaming smooths it out. The panel’s weight gives it a stable hang but expect normal care precautions for polyester and thermal-backed textiles.
Pros
- Blocks light and increases privacy
- Adds thermal insulation to reduce drafts
- Grommet top makes installation quick
Cons
- May arrive with heavy wrinkles
- Synthetic odor possible out of the package
- Machine washing can be risky for seams if handled roughly
VerdictA practical single-panel solution for doorways and closets that combines a blackout lining with thermal insulation. The polyester fabric and six grommets make it simple to hang on tension or fixed rods. It blocks light and helps reduce drafts, adding privacy and a neater look where doors are absent. Expect good weight and drape, some unpacking wrinkles, and generally strong value for everyday use.

Keeps my sewing room warm and dogs happy
I used these to block cold air between rooms. One panel wasn’t enough as dogs pushed through, but two worked much better. The dark gray hides wear and really keeps the sewing room warmer.

Two years in and still doing the job
After a remodel we used these instead of reinstalling doors and they’ve hung in bedrooms and closets for two years. They have good weight, block light well and provide privacy. They work great on tension rods and are machine washable, and they’ve even stopped doors from slamming.

Warm, plush look and really blocks light
Installed on a good tension rod and it was simple to hang. The color is lovely and the fabric feels soft. It definitely keeps light out and seems to help retain warmth — I noticed a cold blast when I pulled it back, so it’s doing its job.

Stopped the draft — material feels substantial
I was skeptical at first, but this curtain completely fixed the cold draft in my house. The fabric is soft yet sturdy and heavy enough to keep the chill out without being overly bulky. I’m warm now and very pleased with the color and finish.

Accurate sizing and a slight bluish grey tint
We ordered two larger panels; dimensions were true and the dye matched across panels. The light grey leans a bit blue, which suited our space. Stitching was solid though there were a few loose threads. Heavy fabric gives a nice drape but panels arrived very wrinkled and took time to iron. We hung both panels.

Bad smell and damaged after washing
The curtain arrived with a strong chemical odor and tore when I washed it on a cold cycle. Quality felt lacking.

Great budget-friendly option
Saved a lot compared to custom drapes. Drop matches the description and they look smart. For a formal lounge I can’t test sun block much, but appearance and cost are excellent.
