2-Pack Adjustable Magnetic Curtain Rods for Metal Doors, 17-30 in, Gold
Product description
What’s included: a pair of telescoping magnetic curtain rods in gold finish, each with integrated high-performance magnets embedded in the end fittings for a secure attachment to ferrous surfaces.
Magnet design and installation: Powerful built-in magnets eliminate the need for screws, adhesives, or drilling. Extend the rod to the needed length, place it against a metal door or frame, and it locks in place almost instantly — installation is usually a matter of seconds and leaves no permanent marks on the surface.
Adjustability and construction: Each rod telescopes via a 3/8-inch outer tube and a 1/4-inch inner tube, allowing lengths from 17 to 30 inches. For a stable fit and to avoid wobble, a 2–3 inch overlap between tubes is recommended. The rod wall thickness is 0.6 mm, providing a slim profile while offering reasonable rigidity.
Load capacity and durability: Built from metal with a smooth, multi-layer painted finish, these rods resist rust, corrosion, and everyday wear. They are rated to support up to 5 lbs (2.27 kg), making them suitable for lightweight curtains, towels, cloths, or small tools.
Versatile uses: Ideal for metal doors, classroom whiteboards, filing cabinet fronts, small and side window frames, French doors, and household appliances such as refrigerators, dishwashers, washing machines, and dryers. They help organize and make better use of small spaces without permanent installation.
Care and notes: While the finish is scratch-resistant, the compact, slim profile can bow if overloaded or stretched to its maximum length with heavy panels. For best results, use with lighter fabrics or provide additional support for wider spans.
Pros
- Tool-free, no-drill mounting
- Strong embedded magnets for steady hold
- Rust-resistant metal with adjustable 17–30 in range
Cons
- Rated for only up to 5 lbs (2.27 kg)
- Thin profile can sag when fully extended
- May arrive with minor surface scratches
VerdictThese two adjustable magnetic curtain rods provide a quick, tool-free way to hang curtains or lightweight textiles on metal doors and appliances. They’re easy to install, look modest and modern, and carry a reasonably strong magnetic hold for everyday use. Best for lighter panels and short spans; expect some droop when extended to the limit or carrying heavier drapes.

Works as expected
Does what it claims. Magnets hold and installation is simple. No complaints for basic use.

Finally a rod that stays put
After trying two other rods that kept falling, these finally held on to my French doors without slipping. Exactly what I needed.

Good aesthetic but some finish wear
I liked them for my front door window and they were quick to install. However, they arrived scratched and are more petite than pictured. The rods are thin but feel sturdy and the magnets are strong. Hoping the scratches won’t be noticeable once curtains are hung.

Small but solid
Smaller than I expected but very sturdy. The magnets are strong and they hold a panel with no problems. Very pleased with the performance.

Great for French doors
Used these on my French doors and they work wonderfully. They hold well, leave no marks on the door, and look neat with my black hooks. Very satisfied.

Solved my back door issue
Perfect for my back door after I added thin metal disks to the wooden surface. The magnets are very strong and keep the rod secure. Easy to set up and they look clean. I’ll buy more if I need additional rods.

Compact yet surprisingly powerful
I rarely write reviews so quickly, but these deserve it. They looked tiny in the package and I doubted they'd support my blackout curtains. The magnets gripped the door instantly and the rod held the panel firmly. I did have it nearly fully extended, so there’s a slight dip in the center, but it's holding up fine. Installation was effortless and the sleek look is a plus. Will use the second rod on the back door.

Too flimsy for heavier panels
These are very skinny. I used one on my entry door with a single light panel and the rod bent in the middle from that one panel’s weight. The magnets are okay but not outstanding; they’re easy to remove. A temporary fix but not a long-term solution for heavier curtains.
