MayBee 10-Frame Cedar Beehive Kit with Screened Bottom Board
Product description
Durable cedar construction: The hive parts are milled from thick cedar, offering natural rot resistance and a sturdy base for long-term use.
Beeswax-dipped finish: Both the interior and exterior surfaces receive a heavy beeswax coating to protect the wood, reduce the immediate need for painting, and present a familiar surface for bees.
Complete kit contents: The package includes a 10-frame configuration with one deep box and one medium box, ten wooden frames fitted with wax-coated foundations, and a screened bottom board to improve hive ventilation.
Joinery and hardware: Boxes come with pre-cut dovetail joints and pre-drilled holes to speed assembly. Necessary fasteners are provided, though basic tools (hammer or screwdriver) are required during build.
Ventilation & season use: The screened bottom board helps circulate air and can aid cooling during hot months; it is also designed to be replaceable if you prefer a solid floor later on.
Support & service: Seller assistance is available for questions or replacements, and many buyers report helpful after-sales communication.

Bees ignored the supplied foundation
Woodwork is solid and assembly was simple. However the provided wax-covered foundations were barely accepted by the bees, producing irregular comb that I had to replace.

Repeat buyer — reliable and easy to put together
I've bought several of these hives and find them great value. Assembly is straightforward and they include the necessary hardware. Customer support has been excellent.

Missing wax on plastic foundations
Received one of the two kits I ordered. Frames and boxes are well made and the screened bottom is nicely built. The downside: the plastic foundations had no wax coating.

Solid hive and responsive support
Got the 10-frame hive with screened bottom. Heavy beeswax coating and fit together well. One super end panel arrived cracked; they replaced the whole super within a week. Very satisfied.

Highly recommended — bought two
Parts align precisely and screw together tightly with the included fasteners. The beeswax finish saves painting, though gluing isn’t practical. Inner cover lacks an edge slot, which is easy to add.

Sturdy construction but one cracked panel
Very well built hive—took effort to assemble but should perform well. Unfortunately one of the box panels arrived split in two.

High quality but take your time assembling
Assembly isn't hard but it is time-consuming and you'll need a hammer for nails. The instructions are mostly small pictures; move slowly. Once built the bees have taken to it and it's easy to maintain.
