Good wax level for notebooks

Performs well despite origin concern
I don’t love that it’s made in China, but the thread is strong, colors are accurate, and it doesn’t fray. It can be a little stiff to thread the eye, though it doesn’t cause issues while sewing.

Good look but needs adjustments
Bought for bookbinding because it was pre-waxed and economical. The spool is attractive and feels nice, but it’s thicker than the thread I usually use, so I had to switch to a larger needle and a heavier awl. The wax and size make it prone to kinking and catching in tight holes more than thinner options. Still usable and attractive; re-waxing eliminates most kinks.
