Sole: Spanish Seafood Dish Guide and Recipes

Let’s talk about Solé (pronounced Solay)

Most of us live with more stress than is healthy, and when that stress becomes chronic it can lead to adrenal fatigue or adrenal dysfunction. That state often leaves you feeling wired and exhausted. Solé is an easy, natural addition to your routine that can help support adrenal function and replenish minerals that stress depletes.

What is solé?

Solé is simply a concentrated saltwater solution made by dissolving quality salt in water until saturation.

How to make solé

Use a clean glass jar and add high-quality salt—such as Himalayan, Celtic, or unrefined sea salt—filling about one-quarter of the jar. Pour filtered water over the salt to fill the rest of the jar. Cover with a plastic lid and let it sit overnight. The water is saturated when some salt remains undissolved on the bottom. If all the salt dissolves, add more and check again the following day.

How to use solé

Add one level teaspoon of solé to a glass of water each morning and drink it on an empty stomach.

Benefits of solé

Contrary to common belief, quality salt is not inherently harmful and provides several benefits:

  • Packed with trace minerals important for health
  • Supports the body’s natural detoxification processes
  • Helps maintain proper hydration
  • Can be therapeutic for supporting adrenal function

How solé supports the adrenals

Adrenal dysfunction can disrupt aldosterone, a hormone that helps regulate sodium and potassium balance and maintains fluid levels and blood pressure. When this balance is disturbed, salt cravings are common. Including a teaspoon of solé in morning water can help restore electrolyte balance and replenish minerals depleted by stress.
