Taytools 777091 6-1/2" Coping Saw Frame with Hardwood Handle & 20 Blades
Product description
Designed for fine woodworking tasks such as luthier work, scale modelling and detailed joinery, this coping saw performs well when shaping moldings, trimming tenons and removing waste between hand-cut dovetails. Its size and balance favor accuracy over brute force, making it a go-to tool for delicate cuts.
The frame is constructed from 3/16" thick by 3/8" steel and finished with a blue baked-on powder coat for corrosion resistance. A turned beechwood handle serves as the tensioning mechanism — rotate the handle to tighten or loosen the pinned blade. The blade assembly allows a full 360° rotation so you can orient the blade for plunge cuts and awkward angles.
This package includes twenty pinned 6-1/2" coping saw blades: ten blades at 15 TPI and ten at 24 TPI. Blade dimensions are 0.020" thickness by 0.120" width, suitable for thin kerf cutting and fine work. The pinned ends and handle tensioning make blade changes straightforward and secure for repetitive use.
