Rig Lizard 2028X Impact & Cut-Resistant Work Gloves — X-Small
Product description
What’s included
One pair of Rig Lizard 2028X work gloves (this listing: X‑Small). Built as a professional safety glove for demanding environments such as oil rigs, mining operations, construction, and heavy maintenance.
Materials and construction
Each glove features a full, sewn-on IR‑X Impact Exoskeleton covering the back of the hand, delivering ANSI/ISEA 138 Level 2 impact resistance to reduce knuckle and finger trauma from crush and smash hazards. The palm, the back of the index finger, and the thumb are lined with high-strength aramid fiber to meet ANSI/ISEA Level A6 cut resistance for handling sharp materials. The palm surface is synthetic leather reinforced with abrasion-resistant PVC dotting to maintain a secure, slip-resistant grip in dry and light oil conditions and to satisfy ANSI/ISEA Level 4 abrasion requirements. High-wear zones—including the index finger and thumb saddle—are reinforced with TP‑X material to resist friction and provide added durability, contributing to ANSI/ISEA Level 4 puncture protection.
Fit, use, and care
These gloves include an elasticized cuff with a hook-and-loop closure and a pull tab for a snug, debris-reducing fit and easy on/off. The high-visibility color scheme improves worker recognition on the jobsite. They are machine washable to simplify maintenance between shifts. Designed to balance protection and flexibility, the 2028X keeps hands guarded while allowing tactile tasks and tool handling during long workdays.
Pros

The synthetic leather palm with abrasion-resistant PVC dots offers confident handling in dry and light-o

Great fit, fingertip stitching needs work
Comfortable and lasted slightly longer than similar models I owned, but the fingertip seams unraveled and exposed my fingers. For the cost I expected better durability at the tips—three stars until that improves.

Good glove but quality control issue
Comfortable and true to size, but the thumb webbing separated on me. The 90-day warranty feels short. Construction could use stitching improvements where the thumb meets the palm.

Well-built and reliable
Solid durability for general heavy tasks. Impact protection works and the fit suits me well.

Strong build, solid finishing
Received the gloves after a slight postal delay. Quality feels high: robust stitching, good cut and fit, and excellent visibility. Responsive seller communication. I recommend them.

Surprisingly comfortable in heat
Very durable and wearable even at high temperatures. Tough construction without being overly bulky.

Still going strong after months of use
I've cycled through many impact gloves that fell apart within weeks. These have survived nearly five months of daily heavy work. They start a bit rigid but form to your hands and have stayed intact—thicker than typical gloves but worth it for the longevity. Found my go-to pair.

Hands feel protected
These gloves shield my overworked hands well and the color combo looks great. They do make me sweat a bit, though.

Protective but breaks in slowly
They felt tight and stiff at first but loosened with use. Good durability and modest heat resistance for short exposures—won't handle extreme continuous heat. I can pick up small parts without removing them. Overall a strong protective glove; next time I might size up for comfort.

Perfect for hands-on work and riding
I wanted protection in case of a fall and these delivered: high cut and puncture ratings plus impact resistance. They kept my hands warm in cold, rainy weather and gave me confidence riding without worrying about large scrapes. I already trusted HexArmor for saw work, and these handle scrapes and impacts well.

Hard-wearing for rock and landscaping
Used for unloading heavy rock and they show almost no wear after months, which is impressive compared with leather gloves I wore out quickly. Keep in mind they hold heat more than leather, so there are trade-offs.
