First Alert EZ Fire Spray Portable Extinguishing Aerosol — 2-Pack
Product description
What’s included: a two-pack of portable aerosol fire extinguishers designed for quick, instinctive use in homes and small vehicles.
Construction and formula: each extinguisher is a lightweight aerosol can with an easy-to-aim nozzle that sprays a wide fan of foam. The extinguishing agent is a biodegradable, nontoxic foam that is formulated to put out paper, fabric, wood, cooking oil/grease fires and electrical appliance/equipment fires. The foam can be wiped away with a damp cloth for straightforward cleanup.
Performance and use: every can provides roughly 32 seconds of continuous discharge — approximately four times the spray duration of some smaller conventional options — giving you time to fully knock down a small fire. To operate, simply point the nozzle at the base of the flames and depress the actuator; the wide spray pattern helps cover the hazard quickly. The product is ETL rated and comes with a 3-year limited warranty. Because of its compact size, it’s well suited for kitchens, garages, boats, RVs, dorm rooms and travel, but it should be used only on small, contained fires and stored within the manufacturer’s recommended temperature range.
Pros
- Intuitive point-and-spray operation
- Biodegradable, nontoxic foam that wipes clean
- Portable and suitable for kitchens, RVs, boats
Cons
- Not intended for large or spreading fires
- Storage temperature limits restrict car storage in cold climates
- Finite discharge time per can (about 32 seconds)
VerdictA compact, user-friendly alternative to traditional extinguishers for small household blazes. Each can delivers an extended spray (about 32 seconds), handles common combustible, grease and electrical fires, and uses a biodegradable, nontoxic foam that cleans up with a damp cloth. Ideal for quick response and peace of mind, though not intended for large or fully developed fires and subject to recom

Good size for tight storage spots
Small enough to tuck where a full extinguisher won’t fit. Haven’t needed to use it yet.

Mind the temperature limits for storage
Haven’t tested it in a fire, but note the cans should be stored between 0°C and 40°C, so they may not be suitable for an unheated car in winter.

Quick action stopped a grease flare
I accidentally left a burner partially on and a pan caught fire. After a frantic moment I grabbed this and two short sprays put it out. Very grateful it worked so quickly.

Put out a large candle blaze quickly
I actually used one tonight when a bowl candle flared up with big flames. A few seconds of spray knocked it down. The wax was still very hot, so I moved the candle outside to cool. Left a small white residue on the mantle that wiped away.

Simple to use and worth keeping on hand
I bought the two-pack to have as an easy backup to our full extinguisher and blanket. These cans are straightforward to grab and spray without having to remember pull-pin steps during stress. They’re rated for flammable liquids, paper/wood, and electrical fires, so I don’t worry about which type to reach for in a panic.

Bought after a tragic reminder to be prepared
After a family loss from a fast household fire I bought these for peace of mind. They’re compact, easy to use, and I placed one at each end of the house. They have an expiration date printed (mine read 2025) and a small finger indentation to guide placement on the nozzle.

Saved us from an oven grease flare-up
While baking I had a grease flare in the toaster oven. After getting the kids out I hit the spray once and the fire went out. Fast response and super easy to operate — much less intimidating than a traditional extinguisher.
