LAOION Stovetop Espresso Maker — 6-Cup (10 oz) Stainless Steel Moka Pot
Product description
A modern take on a coffee classic, this LAOION stovetop espresso maker is constructed from high-grade stainless steel for a long service life and a polished kitchen presence. The set comprises a lower water chamber with built-in safety valve, a funnel-shaped filter basket for ground coffee, and an upper collecting chamber with attached lid.
Capacity and dimensions are tailored for espresso-sized servings: the pot holds approximately 10 fluid ounces (about 300 ml), which yields up to six small espresso cups (not standard mugs). That makes it ideal for single servings or sharing a couple of concentrated cups.
Operation is straightforward: pour water into the base up to—but not above—the safety valve, load the filter basket with your regular grind (do not tamp), assemble the top and bottom and tighten until snug by hand, then heat on your stovetop. As pressure builds the brewed coffee rises into the top chamber and is ready in minutes.
This Moka pot is compatible with gas, electric and induction cooktops, so it adapts to most kitchens. Cleaning is minimal — typically a rinse with warm water and a quick wipe — and the simple parts make maintenance easy. To avoid leaks or spills, never overfill the water chamber, spread grounds evenly without packing, and ensure the two chambers are finger-tight before brewing.
A few practical notes: prolonged direct heat can alter the exterior finish over time; the safety valve should remain unobstructed; and the lid hinge should be handled gently to avoid strain. Follow the basic care and assembly steps and you’ll get reliable, full-bodied espresso from this compact stainless-steel pot.

Worth paying more for quality
Heavier, better-made construction than cheaper alternatives. A bit more expensive but worth it for the sturdiness.

Great daily espresso, watch the lid
I use this every morning — it makes excellent espresso and is very easy to rinse and wipe clean. Be careful with the lid attachment; it feels fragile and can break if handled roughly.

Disappointed — some quality issues
After just a few uses the metal showed discoloration and the valve had an odd odor. It has leaked occasionally and the top can be awkward to twist on. It does heat quickly and the handle stayed mostly cool at first, but later got hot while pouring. Not sure I’ll keep it.

Compact, heavy-duty and cafe-worthy
Produces coffee as good as my favorite café and looks great on the counter. Small footprint yet solidly built; arrived without defects. I like using a separate single-burner for it—safer and more convenient than a full range. Use your normal grind, fill the basket, tap it level, screw the base on and wait for a great cup. Handy for a single decaf when you don’t want to run a full pot.
