Foldable Nylon Drop Net — Portable Pier & Crab Trapping Net
Product description
Open-top design: The net features a broad opening at the top so more fish and crustaceans can enter easily and are less likely to escape. The shape also simplifies lifting and emptying the catch.
Center bait pouch: A bait bag located at the bottom-center of the net holds bait securely and concentrates the scent and movement to draw creatures into the trap before you pull it up.
Construction and materials: Built from durable nylon mesh attached to steel wire ribs, the frame includes a double steel ring at the top to keep the mouth open and supported. The mesh and wiring are intended to balance strength with flexibility.
Portable, foldable kit: The net collapses flat for compact storage and comes with a drawstring carry bag. A pull rope attaches to the frame for dropping and retrieving the trap from docks, bridges, piers, or shorelines.
Use cases: Suitable for shallow-water harvesting and bait collection in lakes, streams, docks and along shorelines. Common targets include minnows, bait fish, crabs, shrimp and crawfish. It’s also useful for catching small pond fish when you need a lightweight, collapsible option.

Wouldn't recommend
Both units I bought leaned to one side in the water, so catches slipped out when lifting. I had no success with either one.

Sturdy and effective
Captured crabs exactly as expected. The net feels solid and handled well during use.

Kids loved it; ring broke
My children spent days scooping minnows and panfish with this; the size kept them entertained. Mesh and capacity were excellent, but the plastic top ring snapped during use. I managed to retrieve it before it floated away, but the broken ring is a real flaw.

Good size, sinks slowly
Nice large net that performs well. It takes a bit to sink but seems more durable than I expected.

Worked perfectly for pond koi
Used it to catch small koi in my pond. Lightweight, folds down easily, and built solidly for everyday use.

Disappointed in material
Fabric feels weak and it’s so light it won’t sink in deeper spots. Not worth it for my needs.

Huge trap, holds a lot
This thing is massive — plenty of space inside and can contain a surprising number of crabs at once. I’ve never used a trap with this kind of capacity before.
