E3D Obxidian 0.4 mm High‑Flow Nozzle for Creality K‑Series Printers
Product description
What’s included: a single integrated nozzle assembly sized at 0.4 mm with a matched all‑metal heat break. The unit ships as a ready-to-fit hotend replaceable part designed for quick removal and reinstallation.
Design and flow: Unlike conventional single-channel tips, this nozzle uses a multi-channel internal path and an enlarged melt chamber to permit a higher filament throughput. The geometry supports peak flow rates up to about 42 mm3/s, making it suitable for very fast print moves and high deposition applications.
Materials and durability: The heat break is manufactured from a titanium alloy to limit heat conduction up the filament path. The nozzle tip combines a copper alloy core with a hardened steel outer section finished in E3DLC coating, achieving a Mohs hardness around 7.8 for greatly increased wear resistance compared with uncoated brass.
Assembly and use: The nozzle employs an integrated, tightly mated construction to reduce joint leaks and minimize common clogging points. It’s intended for direct replacement on compatible Creality hotends and is optimized for printing abrasive or composite filaments at elevated speeds.
Compatibility: Engineered to work with Creality K2 SE, K1 (2024), K1 Max (2024), K1C and Ender‑3 V3 / Ender‑3 V3 Plus models. The all-metal assembly eases disassembly for cleaning or swapping to another size.
Pros
- High volumetric flow for faster printing
- Hardened, coated tip resists abrasive filaments
- Titanium heat break reduces heat creep
Cons
- Larger outlet may require minor bed or purge adjustments
- Higher flow demands firmware/settings tuning
- More costly than stock brass nozzles
VerdictThis 0.4 mm E3D Obxidian high-flow nozzle is built to push filament faster and last far longer than standard brass tips. The multi-channel geometry and larger chamber enable much higher volumetric flow, while the titanium heat break reduces heat transfer and the hardened, coated tip resists abrasion from abrasive filaments. It’s an excellent upgrade for users seeking dependable, high-speed output

Solid performer
Runs great

Essential upgrade for reliability
This upgrade has held up through many filament types with no clogs so far. I did tweak the purge setup because the nozzle exit is larger, but once adjusted it has been flawless.

Incredibly tough
Printed PLA-CF beautifully. After a filament mess I separated the unit but managed to press the pieces back together and it continued printing like new. Highly recommend for composites.

Best match for my printer
I bought a costly nozzle that didn’t fit, then swapped to this model and got excellent surface finish and smooth layers. Very happy with the results—worth the swap.

Great for extreme speeds
This sample was used for a speed test at 0.1 mm layers and 350 mm/s (high acceleration) and still produced excellent layer adhesion and surface quality. Would buy again.
