80 Gallon (300L) Static Compost Bin — Outdoor Garden Composter
Product description
Natural garden appearance and space-saving profile
Finished in a subdued forest green, this vertical compost bin is intended to tuck discreetly into backyard beds or corners. Its streamlined silhouette is less obtrusive than many bulky tumblers, while still offering a professional, tidy look for processing organic waste.
Ventilation engineered for aerobic composting
The unit features multiple vents around every panel to promote steady oxygen flow. The circular aeration approach encourages aerobic conditions that speed up decomposition and reduce odors compared with poorly ventilated piles.
Generous 80 gallon (300L) capacity
With an 80 gallon (300L) interior volume, the bin can handle large batches of yard waste, kitchen scraps and bulky browns like leaves and shredded cardboard. This size is suitable for sizable gardens and households that produce moderate to heavy organic waste, helping cut down on frequent emptying.
What’s included and materials
The composter ships as six snap-together panels, a top lid, and a front sliding access hatch. Constructed from high-density, UV-stabilized plastic, the panels resist fading and cracking from sun exposure and seasonal weather. The unit is designed as an open-bottom, trayless system so compost contacts the soil unless you add a liner or screen.
Tool-free assembly and ground options
Assembly is a no-tools affair: panels lock together via tabs and slots. For extra security, there are holes near the base where you can stake the bin to the ground if needed. The sliding bottom door allows easy removal of finished compost without tipping the unit.
Pros
- Huge 80 gal (300L) holding capacity
- Quick tool-free, 6-piece snap assembly
- UV-stabilized, weather-resistant plastic
Cons
- No internal trays or sealed bottom included
- Panels can feel thin during setup
- May need anchoring in very windy spots
VerdictThis large-capacity static composter is an accessible option for gardeners who need a steady supply of soil amendment without complicated assembly. The 6-piece, tool-free construction gets the bin ready quickly, and the circular aeration pattern keeps material oxygenated for faster breakdown. Built from UV-stable, high-density plastic it resists weathering, though panels can feel thin while you pu

Reliable when stationary
We own three and they perform well for stationary composting. Not ideal if you plan to move them often, though.

Good starter composter; plastic is light
First time using a bin instead of a ground pile. Assembly was straightforward — I tapped the top with a mallet to seat it. I added a screened bottom with zip ties to give weight. Wind here makes staking ineffective, but the filled bin seems secure so far.

Roomy and solid once put together
Easy to snap the sides together and the lid locks down. The small front hatch slides smoothly. Pieces may feel flimsy straight from the box, but after assembly the unit is stable and the lid stays seated even in wind.

Nice product but a bit costly
Very good quality overall, though it feels somewhat expensive compared with simpler options.

Clever snap-fit design
No hardware needed and panels lock firmly together. The top took some force to attach but that was only a short delay. Large yet manageable to carry into the garden.

Works well for pet waste composting
Needed something to corral puppy waste — this handled it. Quick to build, plenty of airflow and a large interior. No screws required; with sawdust and starter it breaks down well even in warm conditions.

No base or internal dividers
Tool-free build but needs effort and it can come apart easily. There’s no bottom panel or trays, so it can be tipped by animals or wind and contents spill. If a kit piece was missing I’d want a replacement.

Low-maintenance food waste option
Cleaner and quicker than a tumbler for my needs. Took five minutes to assemble and I can just toss kitchen scraps in. It’s a bit floppy, but that hasn’t affected composting. The lid clicks closed though the plastic may age over time.

Returned due to missing bottom panel
We had to return it because there is no bottom cover included.

Assembles in minutes
Exactly the simple plastic box I expected — tabs snap into slots and the bottom door lifts off. I used a hammer to seat the top hinges with one tap each. The sides provide adequate vents for composting leaves and grass.
