Happy (almost) Father’s Day to all the great dads out there!
Growing up, we had a predictable tradition for my dad every year: ties and a chocolate cake with a frosted tie on top. My mom would bake the cake and outline the tie, and my brothers and I would enthusiastically “decorate” it — usually covering the tie with as much colored frosting as possible. In our minds, ties were clearly his greatest passion.
He actually wore a uniform to work with a black tie every day, so the choice never quite made sense, but it was the thought that counted.
This year my sister-in-law asked me to design a Father’s Day card for her husband in Photoshop, and while I was at it I created several versions. I’m sharing them here so you can download and print whichever one suits the dad in your life.
