RGE Reset Week Guide: What to Expect and How to Prepare

Ready for a reset?

Because I receive so many direct messages asking how to “get back on track” (I’ve been there too), I created a free, week-long reset designed to help you return to the habits and routines that make you feel good. This guide breaks everything down for you — from daily workouts to simple, wholesome recipes you can make at home, plus a practical grocery list so you can breeze through the week.

When my schedule gets hectic, I often stop prioritizing myself. That looks like skipping grocery trips and cobbling meals together from whatever’s left in the fridge, staying up past 10pm and paying for it the next day, or sitting hunched over a laptop for hours without stepping outside or drinking enough water. Over time I’ve learned to be kinder to myself and accept that I don’t have to be perfect about wellness all the time. Still, when busyness becomes the norm, it’s worthwhile to press pause for 5–7 days to reestablish healthy routines that help you thrive.

Cooking interesting meals, trying new recipes, and following a clear workout plan always lift my mood and energy. A little planning reduces decision fatigue, boosts motivation, and helps you stay accountable to your goals. Sometimes the best thing is having someone else plan the week for you so you can focus on showing up. That’s exactly what this reset is intended to do.

That’s why August 1–7 is RGE Reset Week. This seven-day plan prioritizes self-care and will help you regain energy and clarity for the summer. Be sure to download the week-long meal plan — it features 19 gluten-free, dairy-free, nutrient-dense recipes, a straightforward grocery list, and six curated workouts to guide you through the week. Preparing your pantry and shopping ahead will make the week smoother and more enjoyable.

How to prepare: Download the meal plan, print or save the grocery list, stock your pantry, and choose a consistent time each day for your workout. Small habits — going to bed earlier, drinking more water, taking brief walks outside, and scheduling uninterrupted time to cook — will compound into big improvements in how you feel.

Helpful tips for success:

  • Set a simple, achievable sleep goal (for example, lights out by 10:30pm).
  • Plan three main meals plus two healthy snacks each day to avoid decision fatigue.
  • Hydrate first thing in the morning and keep a water bottle with you.
  • Block 20–40 minutes daily for movement — short, consistent workouts beat sporadic marathon sessions.
  • Celebrate small wins: a completed workout, a home-cooked meal, or a full night of sleep all count.

Doing this reset as a community makes the experience more motivating and fun. Sharing progress, swapping recipe ideas, and joining workouts together creates accountability and connection. I’m excited to hear how you feel after seven days of focused self-care. If you share what you’re doing, tag me @rachaelsgoodeats — I may be hosting a few giveaways to celebrate our progress.

If you plan to use the meal plan and workouts, consider these final reminders: download the plan ahead of time, shop with the grocery list, and set realistic expectations. This reset is about momentum, not perfection. A single week of consistent, mindful choices can jump-start better habits that last long after the seven days are over.

Wishing you an energized, balanced week — see you on Reset Week!
