How to Make Keto Balls

Follow these three simple steps to make keto balls:

Line

Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper or wax paper. Set aside.

Stir & Fold

In a medium bowl combine the nut butter, coconut flour, and keto maple syrup. Stir and fold until the mixture becomes thick and dough-like. This is your keto balls dough.

Scoop & Enjoy

Use a scoop or spoon to portion the dough onto the lined sheet. You can roll each portion into a round ball or leave them slightly rustic—either way they’re ready to enjoy.

3 Ingredient Easy Keto Balls

The 3 ingredients you need for Easy Keto Balls

Nut Butter

Choose an unsalted, natural, creamy nut butter you enjoy. The type of nut butter affects flavor and carb content.

Coconut Flour

Coconut flour helps absorb moisture and gives the dough structure. Use a finely milled coconut flour for best results.

Keto Maple Syrup

A low-carb maple-flavored syrup adds a touch of sweetness and helps bind the ingredients together. Use a keto-friendly variety.

What Nut Butter Should I Use? Which is Keto Friendly?

Many nut butters work well in this recipe. Below are options commonly used on low-carb diets, with a brief note on carb impact and texture:

Macadamia Nut Butter

Very low carb. Macadamia butter is high in fat and very low in net carbs, though it can be harder to find and may produce greasier bites.

Pecan Butter

Lowest carb. Pecan butter is a great keto option with a rich flavor and low net carbs, making it a favorite for many.

Hazelnut Butter

Low carb. Hazelnut butter offers a distinct flavor and remains low in carbs per serving.

Walnut Butter

Low carb. Walnut butter is another keto-friendly choice, though it can be slightly oily in texture.

Almond Butter

Low carb. Almond butter is versatile and mild in flavor, a popular choice for many low-carb recipes.

Cashew Butter

Moderate carbs. Cashew butter is creamier and more indulgent but contains more net carbs than other nut butters. Use it in moderation if you’re tracking carbs carefully.

Choose the nut butter that fits your taste and carb goals. Any of these will yield tasty keto balls with slight differences in texture and richness.

How to Store These Easy Keto Balls

Room Temperature

Store the keto balls in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two weeks. They will firm up a bit after the first day.

Freezer

For longer storage, place the keto balls in a freezer-safe airtight container. They keep well for 1–2 months; thaw before eating.
